Perhaps you are a clothes designer, a website refiner or you sell a state of the art recliner.  Either way (and without the fancy rhyme I just laid down there) it is important to understand that people don’t’ necessarily know what makes up your day, what makes your product, industry or profession interesting or unique.  Really, they don’t know what they don’t know.


Video content for your business allows you to paint a picture like words cannot. It allows you to create intrigue, to satisfy intrigue

and to elicit that all important, (and might I add, ‘sharable’)  “well, that was interesting!”.


As a video producer, I go through the motions (get it) of telling a story, your brands story, in a way that is compelling, factual and effective.  I take the time to devise a storyboard, a shot list and a clear direction for shoot day.  However, this is NOT the only opportunity available to business owners to create video content.  I am always advising my corporate clients to create a CONTENT LIBRARY. This means capturing all the big moments as well as the ins-and-outs of the day-to-day running of your business on film (well, on your phone as the case may be).

You may think some of it is uninteresting, but remember, you do this every day - it is ALWAYS interesting to get a behind the scenes look at how a product is made, how your design process works or how your suppliers create their product that forms part of your product.





Perhaps you are awaiting delivery of an exciting new piece of machinery that aids in the creation of your product – film this new beauty in action. Or, if there is an element of design in your profession, capture those creative moments on camera by filming a few pages from your sketch pad, or a client briefing meeting.  If you are off to visit a supplier, ask their permission to film their production process.  I for one would like to see how a button is made?

Beyond using these short pieces of content on a social media platform like Instagram Stories, the goal is to have loads of footage that we can then piece together down the track. Creating categories of content that allow you to highlight different aspects of your service or product offering.
